A small plane crashed shortly after takeoff from London's Southend Airport on Sunday, forcing the airport to be closed until further notice, officials and witnesses said. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The plane, operated by Dutch airline Zeusch Aviation, was flying from Athens, Greece, to Pula, Croatia, and then to Southend. The aircraft was due to return to Lelystad, the Netherlands, on Sunday evening.
Zeusch Aviation confirmed that its flight SUZ1 had crashed.
