Jordan Henderson will move to Brentford on a free transfer.
Earlier, the 35-year-old midfielder terminated his contract with Ajax, which was set to expire in 2026. According to The Athletic, the former Liverpool midfielder is set to return to the Premier League. The agreement with Brentford will be until 2027.
The medical examination and paperwork will be completed over the weekend. However, as noted, the official announcement of the transfer is expected no earlier than next week.
Brentford sees Henderson as a top target after the departure of team captain Christian Nergor to Arsenal. The club values Jordan's skill and experience both on and off the field.
