A meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has begun in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
The talks are taking place within the framework of ASEAN events.
It should be noted that Lavrov and Rubio have previously spoken on the phone several times and met in person for the first time in February during Russian-American talks in Riyadh. At that time, the parties agreed to initiate efforts to normalize bilateral relations.
