25% tariff on South Korea and Japan

US President Donald Trump has sent letters to the leaders of South Korea and Japan announcing the imposition of 25% tariffs.

He emphasized that Washington is prepared to continue cooperation but aims to eliminate the long-standing trade deficit. Trump's letter discusses the introduction of a 25% tariff on all goods from August 1 if companies do not start production in the United States.

The American leader also warned that any retaliatory measures would lead to an additional increase in tariffs by the United States.
