A strike has been declared at several airports in France. As reported by Le Parisien, as a result, about 40 percent of flights have been canceled at Paris airports, and up to 50 percent in other regions of the country.
The initiators of the strike are two small unions of air traffic controllers. Their primary demands are to improve working conditions and address the issue of staff shortages. The strike is scheduled for today and tomorrow.
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation of France assured that it “applies minimum service regulations at air navigation centers and airport navigation services, where permitted by law, to minimize transport disruptions.”
