A ferry carrying 65 people sank off the coast of Bali in Indonesia. There are fatalities and missing people.
The ferry was sailing from East Java to the island of Bali. There were 53 passengers, 12 crew members, as well as two dozen vehicles, including a truck, on board.
Local media reported that four people were killed and 30 were missing in the accident. Another 31 people were rescued.
The crossing between the islands takes about an hour, and the ship sank about 25 minutes after departure. Before the accident, the crew reported an engine malfunction. The causes of the accident are being investigated.
