Nuclear facilities have been seriously and severely damaged. Araghchi

The Islamic Republic of Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, announced that US strikes have seriously damaged Iran's nuclear facilities.

"Nobody knows for sure what happened at Fordow. At the same time, we currently know that the facilities were severely damaged. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is currently conducting an assessment and analysis for the government," he said in an interview with CBS News.

According to the diplomat, there is no clear information yet on the extent of the damage. "We have to wait for assessments on whether it is possible to restart the nuclear facilities or not," he noted.

According to him, even according to the religious fatwa of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, nuclear weapons have no place in Iran's defense doctrine, they are forbidden from a religious point of view as well," Araghchi added.
