We suspended Ukraine's membership in the EU: Viktor Orban

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Hungary had succeeded in “stopping Ukraine’s EU membership.”

“Ukraine’s EU membership would mean that we would destroy ourselves,” he said.

“We don’t even know what Ukraine is today, what its borders are. This danger existed in the former Soviet Union countries before. First, these countries were admitted to NATO because NATO could guarantee those borders. Then the European Union admitted the other countries involved,” Orban said, adding that Ukraine could not be admitted to NATO because that would mean immediate war.
