They will pay twice. Trump on Spain

US President Donald Trump has criticized Spain for refusing to join NATO's new 5% GDP defense spending target. He said it was "horrible what they've done."

In response to a question from a Spanish journalist, Trump said, "You're the only country that's not paying. I don't know what the problem is. I think it isn't good. We're negotiating a trade deal with Spain. We're going to make them pay double. And I mean this. I like Spain. I have a lot of people from Spain, it's a great place, and they're great people. Spain is the only country that's refusing... I mean, they want to get a little freebie. But they will have to compensate us with trade because I won't let that happen. It's not fair."
