US President Donald Trump has sharply criticized Iran and Israel but has been particularly harsh on Israel, saying they “attacked” Iran right after they reached an agreement.
“We have two countries that have been at war for so long and so persistently that they don’t know what they’re doing anymore,” Trump said. The White House said he had a “tough” conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday morning, after which Netanyahu’s office said Israel had refrained from further strikes.
Speaking about Iran, Trump said Russian President Vladimir Putin had called him and offered his support in resolving the situation with Iran.
