The US State Department has issued a security alert, advising US citizens abroad to exercise “increased caution.”
“The conflict between Israel and Iran has led to travel disruptions and periodic closures of airspace in the Middle East. There is a potential for demonstrations against US citizens and interests abroad. The State Department advises US citizens worldwide to exercise increased caution,” the statement said.
The statement came after US President Donald Trump announced that US forces had carried out “very successful” strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan early Sunday morning.
