The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said it had detected missiles fired from Iranian territory, prompting airstrikes across the country.
“Defense systems are working to eliminate the threat,” the IDF said.
The IDF urged residents to immediately evacuate to bomb shelters and remain there “until further notice.”
Iran’s state-run Fars News Agency also reported the missile attack.
In addition, “a few hours ago,” Iran launched drones toward Israel, Fars reported on its Telegram channel.
