Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar has sent a letter to the UN Security Council, stating that Iran has a "strategic plan" to destroy its country, and Israel will defend itself resolutely.
In the letter, he noted that Israel's attack on Iran came after a critical development in Iran's nuclear weapons program and was also intended to prevent the "imminent threat of additional attacks by Iran using missiles and proxies."
It also noted that the decision to attack was made "as a last resort."
