Israeli army announces killing of Iranian military chief of staff

The Israeli military announced that it had killed the chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces in Tehran overnight.

It is reported that during the airstrike in Tehran, Israeli aircraft killed the chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ali Shadmani.

Shadmani headed Iran's military emergency headquarters and oversaw the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the army.

He was appointed days ago after his predecessor, Gholam Ali Rashid, was killed in an Israeli strike.
