Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stressed that Iran continues to defend itself with all its might and reminded each UN member state of its responsibility: "If they believe in the principles enshrined in the UN Charter, the rule of law, and the idea of collective security, they must act immediately. Bilateral statements that justify aggression by equating the positions of the aggressor and the attacked country are nothing but hypocrisy and irresponsibility," Baghaei said.
He also noted that Iran has launched a fierce resistance. "All countries that have supported this regime in any way or tried to justify its actions are complicit and will remain in the memory of the peoples of Iran and the region. This aggression did not take place in a vacuum," he said.
Baghaei added: "These actions, which were carried out in coordination with the United States, have rendered diplomatic negotiations meaningless. "The United States, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, must recognize and unequivocally condemn this aggression."
