Iran does not rule out withdrawing from the nuclear non-proliferation treaty

Iran’s representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has stressed that the decision to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) depends on future developments, and Israel bears full responsibility for these steps.

Reza Najafi, in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV, stated: “The Council must take decisive steps to condemn the aggression against Iran by the Zionist regime strongly.”

According to him, “the aggressor Israeli regime has the illusion that Iran is unable to defend itself.”

In this context, Fada Hossein Maliki, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, denied the news that Iran is withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
