US President Donald Trump arrived in Canada late on June 15 to attend the G7 leaders’ summit. This comes ahead of a key meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky scheduled for June 17 in Cannock, Alberta.
Canada, which holds the G7 presidency this year, invited Zelensky to the three-day summit.
Zelensky said his top priorities with Trump are discussing sanctions against Russia, peace talks, arms purchases, and U.S.-Ukraine economic cooperation.
The expected third meeting could shed light on the future of Trump-Zelensky relations and the US commitment to Ukraine.
