Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei told reporters today that the foreign minister has recently spoken to dozens of countries. “All countries in the region have unanimously condemned this crime. They realize that this fire of unrest can spread at any time,” he said.
According to Baghaei, the latest attack on the Asaluyeh oil facilities shows “the Zionist regime’s intention to drag others into the conflict.”
He noted that an Organization of Islamic Cooperation member state meeting will soon be held, and this issue will be the main topic of the agenda.
Baghaei stated: “Iran’s nuclear program is the only one in the world whose legitimacy is confirmed by Chapter VII of the UN Charter. Such a peaceful program has been attacked by a regime that itself possesses nuclear weapons. This is a fatal blow to the nuclear non-proliferation system and international law.”
