Iran's armed forces will act with force, and Israel will not escape the consequences of this crime, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said.
"The Iranian people can be sure that there will be no leniency in this matter," he said.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, for his part, said Tehran would respond adequately to Israel's strikes.
