US President Donald Trump has said he prefers to make a deal with Iran. In his opinion, a possible attack by Israel during the process of signing the agreement "would ruin everything."
During the signing ceremony of the agreement at the White House, US President Donald Trump made essential statements regarding Iran-Israel tensions.
Confirming that negotiations on a nuclear deal with Iran are ongoing and they want to sign an agreement, Trump said: "Iran can never have a nuclear weapon; that's obvious."
Responding to a question about the news of a possible Israeli attack on Iran, Trump clarified that he is wary of attacking Iran and prefers to sign a deal.
The US President noted: "I want to make a deal with Iran. We are very close to a deal. I prefer to make a deal as long as I think there is a deal; I don't want them (Israel) to interfere because I think that would ruin everything."
When asked about Israel's position, the president replied: "They haven't told me anything, but there is a potential for a major conflict in the Middle East. I can't say it (the Israeli attack) will happen right away, but it looks like something will happen."
Noting that there are a lot of American troops in the region and he wants them to leave, Trump added: "Because something could happen soon. I don't want to be the guy who didn't warn them and saw the missiles coming down on them."
