"Order will be restored," Trump responds to Los Angeles protests

US President Donald Trump has responded to the clashes that took place during the protests in Los Angeles.

Trump said that the "once greatest American city" has been taken over by illegal immigrants.

"Now violent, unruly mobs are attacking our federal agents in an attempt to hinder deportation operations, but this illegal riot only strengthens our resolve," the US president wrote.

He announced that he had instructed the Secretaries of Homeland Security and Defense, as well as Attorney General Pam Bondi, to "take all necessary measures to rid Los Angeles of the migrant invasion and end the riots."

"Order will be restored, illegal immigrants will be deported, and Los Angeles will be liberated," Trump added.
