American billionaire Elon Musk, who resigned from his White House post, has harshly criticized the budget bill presented by US President Donald Trump, calling it “disgusting, unacceptable.”
“Sorry, but I can’t take it anymore. This huge, outrageous, pork-barrelled spending bill is disgusting and unacceptable—shame on those who voted for it. You know you did it wrong,” Musk wrote on the X social network.
In American political terminology, the expression “pork” or “pork barrel” refers to targeted spending from the state budget that, as a result of lobbying, is directed to the interests of certain groups of voters, business interests, or specific congressmen, often without overall national effectiveness.
This bill, “One Great Bill,” passed the House of Representatives in May and is expected to be approved by the Senate in June. Trump and the White House introduced the bill as part of an economic stimulus package.
In his posts, Musk noted that this legislative initiative could significantly increase the US budget deficit, bringing it to $ 2.5 trillion. He says the bill threatens to put American citizens “under an unbearable debt burden.”
In another post, he added: “Congress is bankrupting America.”
In another post, he noted: “Next November, we will remove all politicians who have betrayed the American people.”
