"Ukraine does not take Russia's memorandum seriously." Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine does not take Russia’s memorandum seriously, as it is an ultimatum, and peace proposals are unworkable.

“This is an ultimatum and will not be taken seriously by either the Ukrainian side or any other side, as it is an ultimatum. In other words, this memorandum is a misunderstanding,” Zelensky said.

According to the president, this is not a memorandum of understanding, as both parties must be in the memorandum.

“I think they did not give it to us in advance because they understood that Ukraine would have every right not to attend this meeting if it is published. Not because we do not want it, but because the meeting will have no content,” he added.
