Before the meeting, the Elysee Palace noted that Macron and Meloni had issues that required clarification, particularly regarding support for Ukraine.
According to media reports, this meeting was assessed as a diplomatic “reset” between Paris and Rome, but both sides emphasized that there had never been tension in their relations.
