Strong earthquake in Turkey: there are casualties and injuries

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck near the Marmaris district of Turkey's Mugla province and was felt in several other provinces.

Mugla Governor Idris Akbıyık said 69 people were injured, and a 14-year-old boy died of a panic attack.

Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change The earthquake struck the Mediterranean Sea at 02:17 local time. The epicenter was 10.43 km from Marmaris and at a depth of 67.91 km.

Several citizens spent the night outdoors.

According to the governor, the earthquake did not disrupt the power supply, natural gas, drinking water, or sewage systems. He also noted that no damage was reported to residential buildings.
