The Ukrainian delegation left the Chiragan Palace in Istanbul after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian talks.
Russia and Ukraine agreed today during the second round of talks in Istanbul to exchange all seriously ill prisoners of war and persons aged 18 to 25. This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian delegation and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov at a briefing with reporters.
Ukraine and Russia also agreed to exchange the bodies of the fallen servicemen on the principle of "6,000 for 6,000".
Umerov confirmed that Russia had submitted its memorandum on the terms of the end of the conflict during the meeting. Ukraine has proposed holding a new meeting on June 20-30. Umerov added that Kyiv has proposed holding a meeting between Putin and Zelensky, which Trump may join.
"We are deeply convinced that all major issues can only be resolved at the level of leaders. "And the meeting may take place with the participation of the US President. We believe further work between the delegations makes sense if it aims to prepare for the leaders' meeting. We have proposed to the Russian side to hold a meeting at the end of this month, from June 20 to 30. This is extremely important for progress in the negotiation process," he said.
