Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiga stated at a press conference with his Turkish counterpart in Kyiv that he wants to receive the Russian version of the memorandum before the start of the Istanbul talks.
“Ukraine is interested in a new round of negotiations, which may take place in Istanbul on June 2, and wants to receive the Russian version of the memorandum before they start,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.
“For the next meeting, which is planned to be substantive and objective, it is important to receive the document in advance so that the departing delegation has the authority to discuss the relevant positions,” the minister added.
Sibiga also emphasized that Ukraine is interested in ending the war this year and establishing a ceasefire, whether for 30, 50, or 100 days, and is ready to discuss this with Russia openly.
