Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine is ready for any format of peace talks, both at the technical and leadership levels. He said this during a closed-door meeting with reporters.
Zelensky noted that the possibility of a trilateral meeting with the participation of former US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and himself, Zelensky, is also being discussed.
“We are ready for a Trump-Putin-Zelensky format or separate meetings: Trump-Putin, Trump-Zelensky, then trilateral. Time and place are secondary; what is important is what we are discussing,” Zelensky said, adding that both the American and Russian sides are aware of this readiness.
According to Zelensky, the venues for such talks can be platforms of both technical and political importance. He mentioned the Vatican and Switzerland as possible places. Everything will depend on the topic under discussion.
