20 killed in Israeli strike on school in Gaza

At least 20 people were killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli strike on a school housing displaced people in Gaza, local authorities told Reuters.

Israel intensified its military operations in the enclave in early May, saying it was seeking to eliminate Hamas’s military and administrative capabilities.

Doctors said dozens of people were injured in the attack on a school in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza, including women and children.

The Israeli military said on Monday that Israeli forces had struck a Hamas command center in Gaza on Sunday night, targeting a facility used to “plan and gather intelligence.”
