Russian media reported that an Azerbaijani court had sentenced the leader of the Eurasian Movement and his deputy to prison on charges of espionage for Russia.
The leader of the Azerbaijani Eurasian Movement, Ibrahim Hasanov, and his deputy, Ibrahim Gumbatov, have been sentenced to 14 and 13 years in prison in Azerbaijan, respectively. They were found guilty of espionage for Russia.
The State Security Service of Azerbaijan arrested Hasanov and Gumbatov in June 2023.
