Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, his office said.
The 82-year-old Biden was diagnosed with the disease on Friday during a test for urinary tract problems. He is currently discussing possible treatment options with his family.
According to urologist Herbert Lepore, men with such a diagnosis can live 5-10 years or more, as treatment methods have developed significantly in recent years.
Incumbent President Donald Trump responded to Biden's health condition, wished him a speedy recovery, and expressed his support.
