Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on the phone. During the conversation, Erdogan stressed that a historic turning point had been achieved in the efforts to end the war between Ukraine and Russia and stressed the importance of seizing this opportunity.
He also said that Turkey is ready to contribute in every way, including establishing a ceasefire and permanent peace talks. Erdogan also noted the importance of continued cooperation between Ukraine and Russia to ensure stable peace talks.
Recall that Russian President Putin had offered Ukraine to hold direct talks in Istanbul earlier.
