Pakistan's National Security Council has authorized the military to respond to India

Pakistan's National Security Council (NSC) has authorized the country's armed forces to take retaliatory action against India's alleged aggression, asserting its right to self-defense, according to Samaa TV.

The Prime Minister's Office held an emergency NSC meeting on May 7. During the meeting, the council decided that Pakistan reserves the right to respond to India's actions in its own time, place, and manner, as outlined in Article 51 of the UN Charter.

Samaa TV also reported that the Pakistani army has been granted "freedom of action" from the top military command to retaliate against India.
