Araghchi had a phone conversation with Kaja Kallas

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi spoke with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas on the telephone.

During the conversation, the parties discussed regional and international developments, and Araghchi presented the latest developments in the ongoing indirect talks between Iran and the United States.

Araghchi, emphasizing Iran's position to resolve the artificial concerns created over Iran's peaceful nuclear program through diplomatic means, noted that progress is possible only with the serious will and realistic approach of the other side. He added that there is no concern about Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons, and reaching an agreement on this issue is entirely possible if unrealistic and illogical positions are avoided.

Araghchi also presented Iran's position on the Ukraine issue, emphasizing that Iran-Russia cooperation is not directed against any third country.

He stated that Iran is ready to launch a political dialogue with the EU on existing security concerns.

In response, EU foreign policy chief Kaya Kalas said that Europe is ready to start a political dialogue with Iran and welcomes the exchange of views between the parties on existing issues.
