US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has called senior officials from India and Pakistan in an attempt to defuse the crisis between the two countries.
Reuters reported that Rubio called Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to de-escalate tensions.
Relations between India and Pakistan have been strained since last week's deadly attack in Kashmir.
