US Vice President J.D. Vance said in an interview with Fox News that the Donald Trump administration faces a serious challenge in trying to help Russia and Ukraine find a way to resolve the conflict.
“We want both sides to make some concessions to stop the war. We hope they will show wisdom,” Vance said.
According to him, “of course, the Ukrainians are angry about the Russian invasion, and that is understandable, but is it worth continuing to lose thousands of soldiers for just a few miles of territory?”
The vice president also emphasized that Ukraine and Russia must decide to achieve peace.
“Even President Trump cannot make that decision for them,” Vance concluded.
