"If Iran abandons this path, it will lose its nuclear facilities." Rubio

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, said that the situation in Gaza could no longer continue in such a way that it becomes a launching pad for Hamas to launch rockets into Israel.

“Everyone agrees on that. The president, I, Steve Witkoff, have all stated that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. The only reason they are so close to it today is because Joe Biden ignored the sanctions imposed on Iran, which were effectively bankrupting that country. They are closer to a nuclear weapon than ever before,” he said. Rubio stressed that there must be an agreement that must include a provision to stop uranium enrichment.

“If Iran refuses to go down this path, it is clear that it will lose its nuclear facilities and oil refineries, which will lead to poverty and, probably, regime change,” he said.
