Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed during his visit to Baku that Karabakh is integral to Azerbaijan’s territory.
“I am thrilled to be in Azerbaijan. I hope that our visit and the agreements to be signed will become a starting point for more active cooperation between the two countries so that an appropriate model of cooperation can be formed in the region,” Pezeshkian said during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Pezeshkian also noted: “We are convinced that the rights of the Azerbaijani people must be respected, and Karabakh must belong to Azerbaijan. Karabakh is integral to Azerbaijan’s territory, and we respect that fact. Our visit is aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.”
