Washington and Kyiv have agreed not to include previously provided US aid in the deal.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported, summarizing the results of the Ukrainian delegation’s visit to Washington, that Ukraine and the United States have agreed not to include previously provided assistance in the resource agreement.

According to Shmyhal, the subsoil deal was discussed during a meeting with US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant.

“Legal teams are working on the document. There is good progress. The main thing is to define our red lines clearly; the agreement must comply with European obligations and not contradict the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine. In addition, the document does not consider the assistance provided before signing,” the Ukrainian Prime Minister wrote on his Telegram channel.
