The European Council has decided to allocate €20 million to Moldova under the European Peace Facility for the modernization of short-range air defense (APF) systems and €40 million to support the mobility of the Moldovan Armed Forces’ ground forces and air defense-related command and control capabilities.
“This year, we are providing €60 million in equipment under the European Peace Facility, bringing our total investment to almost €200 million from 2021,” said Kai Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
