Reuters reports that the European Union is resolutely refusing to lift sanctions against Russia in negotiations with the United States.
The agency, citing diplomats, writes that the EU believes sanctions against Russia will not be lifted until the negotiations are completed.
It is also noted that some of Washington's ideas do not please Moscow, in particular, the fact that the United States "does not insist on Russia's demands for the demilitarization of Ukraine" and does not support the idea of deploying European forces as part of future security guarantees for Ukraine.
