Elon Musk has announced that he will sharply reduce his involvement in the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) work starting in May and will mainly return to managing his companies.
Musk's largest company, Tesla, published a report for the first quarter of this year, according to which the company's net profit fell by 71% compared to the same period last year.
"The formation of the DOGE team, as well as cooperation with the government to ensure financial discipline, is largely complete," Musk said, according to Reuters.
At the same time, Musk added that he would not completely leave DOGE: He would continue to devote about 40 percent of his time to the department's work.
