On April 23, at 11 a.m. (Yerevan time), Pope Francis's remains will be transported from Santa Marta to St. Peter's Square and the Basilica for public viewing and farewell.
The Holy See Press Office reports that the procession will pass through Santa Marta and the Piazza di Spagna. The procession will then exit through the Arch of Bells into St. Peter's Square and enter the Vatican Basilica through the central door.
The Vatican press service reported that the funeral will occur on Saturday, April 26, at noon Yerevan time.
It should be noted that Francis has asked to be buried in the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major.
