The head of Israel's Shin Bet security service, Ronen Bar, has made serious accusations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid a weeks-long standoff with the latter. Bar claims that Netanyahu has demanded "personal loyalty" from him and that he would submit to him personally, not the country's Supreme Court, in a constitutional crisis.
In late March, Netanyahu dismissed him from his post as head of the Israeli intelligence service, citing "lack of trust." The cabinet unanimously approved the decision on March 20.
