It is not possible without putting pressure on Moscow

Ukraine does not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

“There is nothing to talk about; this is outside our Constitution. This is our territory, the territory of the Ukrainian people. As soon as we start talking about Crimea, our sovereign territories, we enter the format that Russia wants, prolonging the war,” he said.

According to Zelensky, it will not be possible to quickly agree on everything because they have been fighting for 12 years, which already answers the question of whether it is possible to reach an agreement with Russia.

“No, it is not possible without putting pressure on Moscow. Ukraine wants a quick, just peace and an unconditional ceasefire as the first step. After the ceasefire, Ukraine is ready for negotiations with Russia in any format,” he said.

The Ukrainian president added that he is ready to meet with US President Donald Trump during his visit to the Vatican.
