The Israeli newspaper The Times of Israel writes that Ukraine has purchased 12,000 doses from Israel to protect against radiation exposure in the event of a nuclear threat.
The Israeli company Pluri has signed a contract with a Ukrainian blood bank for the supply of PLX-R18, a drug designed to treat radiation sickness. The drug helps restore platelets, as well as red and white blood cells that are damaged by radiation.
It is reported that in total, Ukraine will receive doses that will be enough to treat 6,000 people. The drug will be stored and, if necessary, sent to hospitals in the country.
