US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that a deal on natural resources with Ukraine could be reached as soon as next week.
“We have a minerals agreement that I think will be signed very soon, next Thursday,” Trump told reporters at the White House yesterday.
Ukraine and the US were expected to sign a framework agreement on minerals in late February when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was visiting Washington. However, the signing ceremony did not occur due to a scuffle between Zelensky and Donald Trump at the White House.
