Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said after meeting with the Russian President that he had conveyed the message of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vladimir Putin.
"The written message covered regional issues, bilateral issues, and current cooperation with Russia. The message included important points that the Supreme Leader wanted to discuss with the Russian President. He read the message, after which I provided additional clarifications, and we discussed bilateral and regional cooperation issues in detail," Araghchi noted.
According to him, during the meeting with the Russian President, regional issues and international developments were discussed in detail, in particular, indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States and the ongoing negotiations between Russia and the United States.
Regarding negotiations with the United States, Araghchi noted: "The signals coming from the United States are contradictory and inconsistent. "We will seriously consider the indirect talks scheduled for Saturday and, taking into account the other side's participation, summarize their results to determine how to continue this process," he said in a statement ahead of the meeting in Rome.
