Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
“We are inclined to trust Grossi’s mission to keep the agency free from politics and politicization, focusing on technical issues.
I had a helpful conversation with Mr. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In the coming months, the agency can play an essential role in the peaceful settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue,” he wrote, adding, “Since there are various destructive factors that could undermine the current negotiations, we need a ‘Director General for Peace.’”
