Chinese President Xi Jinping has kicked off a week of diplomatic visits to Southeast Asia. He is visiting Vietnam. The visit comes after U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest tariff moves have rattled the global economy.
“There are no winners in trade or tariff wars,” Xi Jinping wrote in an editorial published jointly by Vietnam and China’s official media. “Our two countries should resolutely uphold the multilateral trading system, stable global industrial and supply chains, and an open and cooperative international environment.”
